Nice and Tight
Setting the mooring alarm
- After securely tying off to the mooring you can now activate the mooring alarm
- Designate a “beacon” device that will remain plugged in and out of the elements. This device needs to have cellular capabilities in order to be able to utilize the GPS features that are built into the device
- Confirm the beacon device has Cellular, Wifi, or both turned on to transmit signal to other devices
- Using the “Beacon” device, set the mooring alarm by selecting the anchor symbol above the mooring. Once set, you will see a red flashing anchor on the beacon device
- Adjust the “safe zone” to your preference by selecting the plus and minus buttons in bottom center of app. This adjustment can only be done while in the designated “safe zone”
- Stop the alarm by selecting the flashing red anchor on the beacon device
Recommend keeping beacon device in back 3/4 of vessel
Monitoring with multiple devices
- Log in and join the trip
- You can be part of multiple trips but can only monitor one trip at a time
- Select the green anchor symbol in bottom right corner to monitor the boats location
Warnings and Notifications
- Critical Warning when boat exits the designated “safe zone”
- Warning when boat is nearing the perimeter
- Low Battery Notification when the “beacon” devices batter is low
Tips & Precautions: Select one device that will remain plugged in and on the vessel at all times. This is the BEACON DEVICE. Allow the boat to settle and then adjust the “safe zone” to the captains preference. Share the burden and allow all crew members to monitor the boats location.
