Big Changes Ahead: Simplifying BoatyBall with One Login for Everything

We’re excited to announce some major updates coming soon to BoatyBall! Our goal is to make your experience smoother, simpler, and more connected—whether you’re reserving a mooring, chatting with fellow captains in the BoatyCrew community, or using the BoatyAlarm app.

Right now, BoatyBall has three different platforms:

- boater.boatyball.com – for mooring reservations
- community.boatyball.com – our BoatyCrew community
- BoatyAlarm app – our mooring alarm system

Each one currently requires its own login, password, and sign-up page. That’s about to change!

🌊 What’s Changing

In the next couple of weeks, BoatyBall is moving to one system that integrates these three platforms into one. The new platform will have a single log in to access thes platforms. That means one email and password will give you access to:

- Mooring reservations
- The BoatyCrew community
- The BoatyAlarm app

This change will also coincide with our move to a required paid membership in order to reserve moorings, which includes exciting new perks like:

- 12 months of medical evacuation coverage from AeroMD
- Access to our private BoatyCrew community
- Online planning calls with other captains and crew
- Exclusive perks like free drinks at participating bars
- And more coming soon!

Captains will even be able to easily sign up guests or crew for shared benefits—without creating separate accounts for each person.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: BoatyBall will still offer a free membership that will allow boaters to pay for First Come First Serve moorings in the program and access to the BoatyAlarm App. However, free members will not be able to reserve a mooring with the free membership and they will not benefit from the other perks associated with the paid membership, like medical evacuation coverage

⚓ What You Need to Do Now

To make the transition smooth, we need your help.

If you’re already a BoatyCrew member at community.boatyball.com, you also have a free BoatyBall account at boater.boatyball.com.

Here’s how to make sure your accounts are ready:

✅ If you use the same email for both sites: You’re all set! We’ll automatically match your accounts and transfer your paid membership details to the new platform. No action needed.

⚠️ If you use different emails for the two sites: Please update your community.boatyball.com account to match your boater.boatyball.com email.

This ensures your accounts merge smoothly and that you don’t lose any membership information.

🔧 How to Update Your BoatyCrew Community Account

1. Log in at community.boatyball.com
2. Select your account information in the top right
3. Select “Personal Settings"
4. Select "Account"
5. Select "Update Email and Password"
6. Update Email Address and then select "Verify" in the orang box
7. Check email for verification code and enter the code to verify change

That’s it! Once you’ve updated your information, you’re ready for the transition.

🪶 What Happens If We Can’t Match Your Accounts

If your accounts can’t be matched—or if you don’t yet have a boater.boatyball.com account—we’ll automatically create one for you using your community.boatyball.com login information. Once the new system launches, everyone will sign in through boater.boatyball.com to access everything BoatyBall offers.

💬 Questions or Need Help?

We know changes like this can cause a few waves, but we’re here to help every step of the way. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at support.boatyball.com.

🧭 In Summary

- If your email matches on both sites → No action needed
- If they’re different → Update your community.boatyball.com info to match your boater.boatyball.com account
- After the transition → Log in only at boater.boatyball.com for access to all BoatyBall services

We’re thrilled to bring everything together under one roof and make your BoatyBall experience better than ever. Thank you for being part of the BoatyCrew, and for helping us make this smooth sailing for everyone! ⚓
